Phosphoric acid,also known as orthophosphate,is a common inorganic acid with the chemical formula H3PO4 and a molecular weight of 97.995.Phosphoric acid is not easily volatile,not easily decomposed,and has almost no oxidizing properties.It has acidic properties and is a weak ternary acid.Its acidity is weaker than hydrochloric acid,sulfuric acid,nitric acid,but stronger than acetic acid,boric acid,etc.Phosphoric acid is prone to deliquescence in air,and when heated,it loses water to obtain pyrophosphate,which further loses water to obtain pyrophosphate.Phosphoric acid is mainly used in industries such as pharmaceuticals,food,fertilizers,etc.,including as a rust inhibitor,food additive,dental and orthopedic surgeon,EDIC corrosive agent,electrolyte,flux,dispersant,industrial corrosive agent,raw material and component of fertilizers,household cleaning products,and can also be used as a chemical reagent.
